A02-KB105 Ultrahigh Resolution Optical Coherence Microscopy at Visible to Near-infrared Wavelength Region

In this project, in addition to our on-going investigation of ultrahigh resolution (UHR) optical coherence tomography (OCT) at near-infrared wavelength region, and we will develop all-fiber wideband light source and real-time UHR-OCT, and optical coherence microscopy (OCM) at visible wavelength region. Then, we will combine the whole systems, and we will construct visible – near infrared combined OCT/OCM systems. Using the developed systems, the biological imaging of tissues will be demonstrated, and the wavelength dependence will be discussed. We will also do the collaboration with A02-1 Dr. Mori’ group, and the 3D representation and analysis of the observed images will be performed using their software. Our goal is the production of early detection of diseased part, and creation of novel technologies
